What we process
We process purchaser and learner names, email addresses, course enrolment, lesson progress, assessment results, certificate records, support communications, and technical and security records needed to operate the service. Stripe processes card details and payment credentials; Article4Training does not receive or store full card numbers.
Why we process it
We use this data to provide the course and learner access, manage team enrolments, issue and verify completion records, process payments, provide support, prevent fraud or misuse, and meet accounting or legal obligations. The main legal bases are performance of a contract, compliance with legal obligations, and our legitimate interests in operating a secure, reliable service.
Optional course updates
We send promotional emails only where you have separately opted in. Choosing not to receive them does not affect a purchase, enrolment, certificate, or access to the course. You can withdraw consent at any time using the unsubscribe link in a marketing email or by contacting us.
Service providers
We use service providers to host the website and database, process payments, and deliver transactional email. Current categories include Hostinger for hosting, database, and email infrastructure, and Stripe for payments, invoicing, and tax features. Providers may process personal data only as needed to provide their service. Where international processing applies, we use an appropriate lawful transfer mechanism where required.
Retention
Course and certificate records are retained for up to three years after the last learner activity so that course access, support, and certificate verification can work. Payment and invoice records are retained for the period required by applicable accounting and tax law. Security logs are kept only for a proportionate operational period. We may retain limited data longer where necessary to establish, exercise, or defend legal claims, or where law requires it.
Your choices and rights
Subject to applicable law, you may request access, correction, deletion, restriction, objection, or portability of your personal data. Contact us at article4training@skilara.eu. You may also complain to Latvia's Data State Inspectorate.
Cookies, campaign attribution and advertising measurement
We use technical storage needed for secure learner sessions, checkout and core functionality. A signed first-party promotion cookie remembers when a time-limited offer began and prevents that offer from restarting in the same browser. We may also record campaign parameters such as the referring campaign, landing-page variant and ad click identifier with a checkout order so we can understand which promotion led to a purchase.
Meta advertising measurement is optional. It runs only after you select “Accept advertising cookies.” If accepted, the Meta Pixel may process page views, checkout actions, purchase events, browser identifiers and campaign data. For a completed purchase, our server may send Meta a matching Purchase event containing the order value, currency, campaign identifiers and a one-way hashed version of the purchaser email. Browser and server events use the same event ID to avoid double counting. Meta acts under its own privacy terms. You may decline without affecting course access or checkout.
Changes
We may update this notice when the service or legal requirements change. The current version and effective date will remain on this page.
